Civil Rights/Personal Injury Attorney

Bio

James is a trial attorney who has dedicated his career to fighting injustice. After practicing for years in criminal defense, he has focused his practice on fighting for the underdog against powerful defendants, including government actors, corporations, and insurance companies. His commitment to guiding clients through difficult times and legal journeys, as well as his years of experience and passion for fighting challenging legal issues head on, make him an invaluable part of the Palmer Perlstein legal team.

James started his career in 2013 at the Colorado State Public Defender’s office where he handled all levels of criminal cases ranging from DWI and Assault to Sex Crimes and Homicide. After being disgusted by the constant violations of his clients’ rights, this valuable experience prompted him to dedicate his professional career to fighting for his clients who have been injured by those who believe they are above the law. James handles complex personal injury cases, including wrongful death actions and civil rights violations against local, state, and federal government officials.

In 2018, James joined Palmer Perlstein where he has built up a docket of cases in federal courts across the country, as well as in state courts in Texas, Colorado, Utah, and California.

On weekends, James can be found hanging out with his family and cheering on the Texas Longhorns.
