What Happens If I Don't Take Care of My Ticket in Texas?

If a cop cited you for a traffic violation, your signature on it is your promise to pay the fine or appear in court to handle the matter. Failing to do either may result in severe consequences, such as the court issuing an arrest warrant in your name or the Department of Public Safety denying the renewal of your driver's license.
